Yesterday Today and Tomorrow

STN International’ vision remains the same

Past nine years, our ‘yesterday’ were with labor of love displayed in our ministry of teaching and equipping the trainers.

The Lord had protected us, in many of our international travels and kept us safe in several cities in India. Many doors were opened for the ministry. The supply for our needs were met as some donated their blood and platelets, some their air miles, some articles of auction and sacrificial giving. These contributions of ‘yesterday’ have led us not only to achieve our goal of seeing new churches planted and multiplication in equipping but also opened new avenues of ministry for ‘today’. Fire is ignited!

‘Today’ we marvel at God’s many acts of wonders and humbled to see remote villages reached with the message of Truth.

today Right now there are many who are turning to accept the Way. On the left the photo displays a fact of how the new ones are trained and teaching given to new groups of unreached ‘world’. ‘Today’ points out to many activities of our STN graduates who are actively and aggressively involved to see the Truth proclaimed. Today, we are encountered with many challenges to oversee the ministry. Fire is glowing!

Here is a photo (below) with Duane and Janet prior to our moving from the US. This couple have been a great blessing with their prayer, love and support.

‘Tomorrow’ appears to be a brighter day.

tomorrow With our move to India, Flory and I envision to visit more of our STN India graduates who are scattered in North, NW, NE and South India. Pakistan, and Nepal are countries to be visited soon. Women are looking forward to receiving teaching.

With yesterday’s sowing, today we stand at the threshold to see greater things happen for tomorrow.

This is possible only when you pray, and cheerfully give as the Lord leads. Fire would spread rapidly!

Update – Eddie in Bolivia

Communication from Eddie during his research trip to Bolivia has been brief as the wifi has been spotty. Praise God – he is doing fine.

He has been to Santa Cruz, Cochabamba, Tarija and this monday he arrived at his final city, La Paz, which is also his hometown.

He has been able to meet and speak with a number of pastors in the cities he has been to and was very encouraged by their enthusiasm to the plan of work he presented to them. He will be meeting other pastors this week to present the plan of work and sunday he will be preaching in one of the churches.

Please pray for the Lord’s direction and wisdom as Eddie explains what the training can do to expand the Gospel.

Praise for renters for the Kumar’s house in Panorama City.
Final details for Kumar’s move on September 21st.
Home to rent in Hyderabad in the right neighborhood and details of getting settled.
Praise for the amazing provision God has provided for on-going work in India and new work in South America.
$2000 of monthly support commitments remaining to be raised for Kumar’s.
Wisdom for Eddie Bueno as he travels to Bolivia this Fall and meets with key leaders.
Praise for the Women’s Summer Saturday Seminar and the support that was raised for Ryder and Flory.
Pray for the Enfield concert on October 17th.

May in India

Ryder and Flory are once more in India as ministry continues with our recent graduates and new contacts.

This trip will include:

A new door is opened in a new state called Gujarat (North West India) for Flory and Ryder to minister the Word. While Flory speaks to the women in the church Ryder will preach on May 24^that a congregation of 200. There is potential here as the Pastor is a good leader who is burdened for missions/equipping and training pastors in villages. He also is organizing a meeting with key leaders to organize BTCP/TTW to be connected for ongoing ministry.
Seminars are planned for key graduates in both Hyderabad and Lucknow.
Continued research into housing, office space and other moving details for Ryder and Flory who are finalizing details for their move to India late this summer.

Here is a report from Ravi following the Hyderabad conference:

The two day refreshing course recollecting the essence of Book No.1 and 5—two important course books, was of tremendous encouragement, and gave fillip to the whole of the ministry of God’s word.

In all 13 pastors drawn from various parts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States including myself and Timothy attended.

Bro.Ryder Kumar dwelt in details on the rules of interpretation of the Word of God, and expositional preaching. Simultaneously the preaching on doctrines was captivating, and the participants were keen on learning these aspects in a great detail. As this exposure was given, all the pastors felt that this time around, the learning of the rules of interpretation was easier to grasp.

We appreciate and thank Bro. Ryder for taking time to visit us again to teach these precious and valuable inputs to all our pastors. In spite of the Road transport strike, all the pastors from far and near could reach Hyderabad on time. We thank all those who prayed for this seminar.

Ryder’s update from India:

In Hyderabad, there were 15 present mostly graduates of STN. The time was enriching for the whole group.

We were able to meet several people with whom we had discussions about a house on rent when we move.

There are more contacts made which are very helpful. On Sunday I preached three times. There were couple of hundred present in the worship service and many young people. Flory had a good ministry among the Sunday school where 200 kids were present. She taught songs and ministered the word. The Seminar at Lucknow began yesterday. The heat I experienced during teaching was 120 degrees. It was tough, sticky and uneasy and a bit difficult for the audience. Today we are beginning the sessions bit early to help cope with the heat. Please pray. There are two new places we are visiting this week where we will meet several leaders to discuss about our mission and vision.

Please pray as lot of discussions are taking place regarding our move, my driving license, adjustments to be made etc. It also appears that because of recent decision to make a separate state where Hyderabad got involved, people from Hyderabad got migrated to other state. A good thing for us is as Shanti mentioned house and property have gone down. We are looking at all options.

Prayer Requests – May 2015

Pray for Ryder and Flory as they are in India traveling, speaking and ministering in the name of Jesus this month. Pray especially for difficult heat in Lucknow (120 degrees). Pray for good health and safe travel.
Please pray as lot of discussions are taking place regarding Ryder’s move, driving license, adjustments to be made, etc. during the current trip to India.
Praise God for His amazing provision of $700,000 through an anonymous donor! Pray for wisdom for our board as we are seeking the Lord’s will in how to best utilize these funds.
Pray for monthly support to be raised for Ryder and Flory. They have currently raised $1838 in monthly support commitments with a goal of $4000.
Praise for the good news from Ravi and Shanthi regarding their church property in Hyderabad.
Provision of new pastor at East West Community Church when Ryder moves.

Year End Prayer List

Pray for Ryder and Flory as they look forward in relocating for the future ministry of STN India. They need to raise about $3,000 per month in additional support to cover their personal and ministry expenses in India.
Pray for Pastor Eddie Bueno. Eddie is the Senior Pastor of the Hispanic Ministry at our church and went with us to observe the training. He is now seeking the Lord to see if he should do something similar in Central and South America.
Pray for God’s direction and provision in the coming days as we seek to fulfill the Great Commission (Mt. 28:18-20) for His glory. Many of these men need financial support so they can give their attention to fulltime ministry.
Pray that many more churches and individuals will support these men to reach the unreached villages of India and Nepal.

Tammy’s First STN Mission Trip

Tammy Werth will be joining us for the first time for our upcoming short-term mission trip to India. She writes the following about her decision to join our team:

“God has given me a passion for India and I feel as if I am already connected to many on the other side of the world; I am humbled by this life changing opportunity. God called me to support the ministry of Shepherding the Nations with my organizational and accounting skills shortly after STN received non-profit approval in 2007. I pray for the pastors, know their profile pictures, have the joy of finding sponsors for them and have enthusiastically read every field report for many years. How gracious God is to allow me to finally meet these men and their wives face to face.”
